Dr. Herman Walston

Dr. Herman E. Walston is currently in his 44th year at 91快播, where he serves as a professor of child development and family relations. His career began at KSU in 1976 as an assistant professor of home economics and later founded the Rosenwald Center for Early Childhood Development, where he served as headmaster for 25 years. Prior to coming to KSU, Walston was an instructor at Bowling Green State University, where he taught child development and served as a preschool teacher in the university鈥檚 lab school. He is a member of several professional and civic organizations and a former member of the Kentucky Foster Review Board. He is an active member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. and Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society.

Walston earned his bachelor鈥檚 in elementary education and master鈥檚 degree in early childhood education from Alabama A&M University; his Ed.S. degree in elementary and early childhood education from the University of Toledo; and his Ed.D degree in curriculum and instruction from Vanderbilt University. In 2017, 91快播 granted him a Doctor of Humane Letters.
